The primary function of investor relations is
to act as an information resource. Information that companies believe investors should
learn, to view a business favorably or to develop their investment strategies. It
was my
responsibility to present this information accurately and attractively, in the form of
business wire press releases, brochures, newsletters, advertisements for finance and
investment publications, company profiles, annual reports, investor fact sheets, and web
page design. Communication strategies are developed and their implementation directed to
specific audiences such as: analysts; institutions; shareholders; brokers; employees; and
the investment community.

Fashion
Illustration/Research & Development (Athletic Footwear)
The fashion industry is competitive and
intense. Extensive research is necessary to develop and produce the desired result.
Projects were completed under strict deadlines and quality control
measurements. All
materials and components were researched thoroughly and documented on specification
sheets. I was responsible for designing athletic/casual footwear and preparing
specifications and colorways for original and existing designs. Fashion trends were
studied by visiting stores and trade shows. I developed detailed purchase order and
proforma templates that were used daily. I monitored and prepared production schedules,
interim footwear invoices, packing instructions, and commercial invoices. It was necessary
to troubleshoot, daily, through fax and telephone correspondence with factories in China
and Taiwan. I was responsible for logo, shoebox and tissue designs, and letterhead and
business card maintenance for staff members. I prepared a buyer package that was sent to
retailers in Britain, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain and provided the cover page
translation for the Italian and French versions.
